Being a teenager has its good points and its bad points. Dating, driving, and fewer rules are great. But pimples, puberty, and peer pressure can sometimes make survival from one day to the next tough. Parents, family, teachers and friends can all be great sources of information. However, sometimes there are problems that you may want confidential advice on. Tanner Clinic Teen Health Services Our Pediatricians and Family Physicians are experienced in dealing with the tough issues faced as a teen. Whether it is sex, a need to discuss birth control, concern over infections, or questions about drugs, alcohol or even simple issues like acne, our doctors can help you decide what the best options are for you. Confidential The law requires that sensitive issues be kept strictly between the doctor and the teen and do not have to be discussed with parents in many circumstances. Obviously, your parents are your best source of help and should be involved in decision making when your health is at risk. However, the choice of involving your parents in sensitive issues is yours. Making An Appointment If you have a problem that you would like to discuss with a doctor, you may schedule an appointment with any Pediatrician or Family Physician through our appointment line. When the scheduler asks what you need to be seen for, tell them it is to discuss a personal matter. From there just come to your appointment with or without your parent and we'll take care of you.
