Dr. Practice Philosophy

Dr. Richards practices all aspects of Otolaryngology including pediatrics, nasal/sinus surgery, ear surgery, cancer of the head and neck, voice disorders, allergy of the head and neck, and facial plastic surgery.
One unique element of Dr. Richards practice is that he is a provider for the hearing aid system produced by Soundtec. Dr. Richards has performed the first implantation of the Direct System in the state of Utah. The Direct System is a hearing aid which utilizes a magnet implanted into the middle ear to amplify sound. The result is a more natural sound without the problems of feedback or occlusion (the plugged feeling caused by many hearing aids).
