Dr. Oberg has been a practicing Surgeon since 1994. He comes to Tanner Clinic from Lakeview Internal Medicine and Surgery in Bountiful, Utah. Prior to that, he was in Redding, California at Northern California Surgical group. He practices general surgery with an added interest in vascular surgery.

Dr. Oberg earned his Medical Degree from University of Southern California School of Medicine in Los Angeles, CA in 1989. He then completed a surgery residency at University of Illinois/Chicago and at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve Medical Corps from 1991- 2000 where he earned the rank of major.

Dr. Oberg and his wife Robin have four children. He enjoys cycling, water sports, and art.

Dr. Oberg is currently accepting new patients at the Layton Tanner Clinic and looks forward to serving the people in the Davis County area.
