| | David A. Cook, M.D. Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon | Dr. Cook's Practice Philosophy |
Dr. Cook finds his orthopedic practice immensely satisfying because, in most cases, he can offer real, concrete improvement in a relatively short time period. He believes that every reasonable non-operative treatment should be tried before resorting to surgery. While sometimes surgery is the best and only remedy, medication, or other options may be more reasonable and prudent treatments. And treatments with the least risk of complications are usually the best. Dr. Cook will help you understand what you can do to hasten your return to good health and full function. He will stress the important role that a healthy mental outlook and a positive attitude play in healing. And he will respect your decisions - he'll take the time to explain the options as thoroughly as possible so you can make informed, competent decisions for yourself and your family.
